How to Post an Item

1. Open the Classifieds page

2. Click “Post a Listing” 

3. Complete all required fields:

   • Title (clear and specific)

   • Type of Postin

   • Category

   • Description (include condition, details, and any defects)

   • Price

   • Contact information

4. Add Images (see below)

5. Submit your listing

6. Wait for approval

Adding Photos

• Photos should be added after creating the listing

• Use clear, well-lit images

• Show:

  • full item

  • key features

  • any damage or wear

Editing Your Listing

• You may edit your own listing at any time

• You may:

  • update price

  • change description

  • mark as Sold

  • add or remove photos

• You cannot edit other members’ listings

Removing or Updating Listings

• When your item is sold:

  • update the listing status to Sold
    or

  • delete the listing

• Outdated listings will be removed by administrators

All listings must:

• Be related to boating, cottage life, or general member use

• Include accurate and honest descriptions

• Use appropriate language

• Be posted by the actual seller

Prohibited Content

Do NOT post:

• Illegal items

• Misleading or false information

• Commercial advertising (unless approved)

• Spam or duplicate listings

• Offensive or inappropriate content

Pricing & Transactions

• All transactions are private agreements between members

• The club does not:

  • set prices

  • mediate disputes

  • guarantee items

Safety & Best Practices

• Communicate clearly with buyers/sellers

• Inspect items before purchase

• Arrange safe, local exchanges

• Do not share unnecessary personal information

Administrator Rights

The club reserves the right to:

• edit or remove listings that do not follow guidelines

• remove inactive or outdated posts

• restrict access if the system is misused
